CMS approved principal care management services for 2020. These services have requirements that are similar to chronic care management, but are oriented towards specialists.
Providers that manage Medicare patients with at least one serious condition that is expected to last 3 months or longer may provide the service. It also requires a focused care plan.
There are 2 codes. G2064 requires 30 minutes of provider time each calendar month and pays approximately $78. G2065 requires 30 minutes of clinical staff time and pays approximately $39.
